Biya honours Ben Decca, Richard Bona
Cameroon has honored two of its international artists by raising them to knight of the national order of valour. Makossa legend Ben Decca and the renowned jazz singer Richard Bona were among the recipients. Richard Bona was not present during the ceremony with some government sources citing family reasons.
The artist reportedly wrote a letter to the Minister of Arts and Culture to explain his absence. Yesterday in Yaounde, singer and visual artist Ben Decca known as Vital Mouangue Eyoum Victor, received his medal as grand knight of the order of valour exceptionally, awarded by the head of state from the hands of the Culture Minister, Narcissus Mouelle Kombi.
