FORBES Names Davido As Most Influential African Artist Of 2015
Nigerian star Davido has been named the Most Influential African Artist of the Year 2015 by FORBES.
The artist who is the Owner of HKN music label, has other upcoming acts like Shina Rambo, B.Red and Deekay under his wings.
The young singer who is also a producer, has produced for artist like Tiwa Savage, Naeto C, Skales and Sauce Kid.
He came into limelight in 2011 with his hit single ‘Dami Duro’ and since then, he has continued to thrill fans with wonderful jams.
He released his first album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ that contains many of his hit tracks like Gbon Gbon, Ekuro, and Feel Alright in 2012.
Lots of nominations and awards have been won with most notable amongst them been; The BET award, Kora award, Channel O Music Video award, two MTV Africa Music awards, 5 Headies Awards and Ghana Music award among others.
His relevance went up another notch as he made the list of Forbes most influential artist for 2015.
However, this came hours before his closest competitor in the industry, Wizkid also got international recognition with his hit song, Ojuelegba been named the 12th best song of 2015 by FADER Magazine.
