Miss World is an annual competition which sees young women from around the world compete for the coveted crown and title of Miss World!

The 65th edition of Miss World kicked off last Saturday  November 21, with the arrival of the first contestants in Sanya, The People's Republic of China, Culminating with the Grand Final on Saturday 19 December at the Beauty Crown Grand Theatre, Sanya.

"Hi everyone! I’m Jessica Ngoua, the Cameroonian nominee, passionate about arts & culture. I hope to lead you to discover through this window all the beauty and diversity of our home,so be welcome to my world.”

Jessica was born and raised in Douala City, Cameroon’s largest city, situated on the coast. Currently working towards a Master’s degree in Advertising & Event Communication, Jessica aspires to work in the advertising and events sector, specifically utilising her artistic skills in graphic design. In her spare time she likes to cook pastries, she enjoys reading, and she is a skilled guitarist. Her favourite book is Betty Mamhoody’s Jamais Sans Ma Fille, and her favourite dish is Ekwan, (grated cocoyam) Cameroon’s national dish.

“Cameroon is also known as “Africa in miniature.” There are over 250 ethnic groups. It is a nation of peace which unfortunately for some time is a victim of violent terrorist acts.”
