Cameroon: Anglophone Consortium dismisses Tapang Ivo and Mark Bareta
The Anglophone Civil Society Consortium has taken a unanimous decision late this night to dismiss Tapang Ivo and Mark Bareta as members of the consortium. The dismissal comes after Mark Bareta's video in which he disclosed the hiding location of the rest of the Consortium members who escaped arrest from the brutal forces of President Biya. Mark and Tapang Ivo had been acting as Interim leaders of the consortium ever since the union was banned and some of their leaders arrested by Cameroonian security agents. It should be recalled that, Tassang Wilfred who is the programmes coordinator of the consortium had earlier in a video release relocated the functions of both Mark and Tapang to the communications department of the consortium, events following this video release proved that the duo never accepted the due positions. This could be the imminent reasons behind their sudden dismissal.Watch the video release for more information.
