Officials of the Archdiocese of Bamenda have said they are grateful for the support they were shown by the public when one of their priests went missing.

 

The prelate was freed on 02 May 2018 after spending several hours in captivity.

Information about the release of the abducted man of God was contained in a communiqué published on 2 May 2018 by the Archdiocese of Bamenda, officially announcing the liberation of Rev Williams Neba, the Principal of Saint Bedes college Ashing Kom.

According to the communiqué, the reverend was kidnapped in the school chapel while celebrating mass with his students.

The communications Director of the Archdiocese of Bamenda who signed the communiqué about the release, Father Tatah Humphry Mbuy indicated that father William was at the residence of the Archbishop of Bamenda Cornelius Fontem Esua, at the time he signed the communique.

The concerned Archdiocese does not forget to thank everyone who contributed to the release of the prelate.

Father William Neba was kidnapped by unknown individuals on Monday 30 April 2018 in Belo.
