Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

A very significant number of Anglophone students and pupils have lately been flooding schools in the French speaking parts of Cameroon, since the recommencement of the new academic, year on 4 September. This is due to the timid response of Southern Cameroonians to government’s call for effective school resumption and joint with the insecurity, as the relocators explain.

Cameroon info:net reports that Government Bilingual High School Bafoussam has so far received 498 students from Southern Cameroons for the 2017/2018 school year as confirmed by the Principal, Elias Eugene Ambela. He further explains that, most of these students came seeking admission into forms 1, 2 and 3 and that, they were expecting a total number of 5300 students this year in their school but the influx of the fleeing students will cause the number to go up.

As the days go by, more people move to schools in neighbouring French Regions, saying they are not ready to miss another school year. According to them, they are preparing a bright future for their kids whom they cannot bear seeing at home again at a time they should be going to school.
