Southern Cameroons: LARRY EYONG is new SCACUF Spokesperson
Veteran jornalist, Larry Eyongechaw has replaced Boh Herbert as spokesperson for southern cameroons ambazonia consortium united front(SCACUF).
The organization just released a press statement which read:
Following the vacancy created in the Secretariat of the SCACUF and after the Leadership Council of SCACUF ordered for the search of a new Spokesperson, the Secretary General opened a file for applications. We decided to go this route so that SCACUF could pick from amongst the most committed and not be limited to a few people the leadership may know.
We also, for the sake of regional balance and gender, indicated SCACUF's preference for a strong female spokesperson and indicated also that while we would not by any means overlook competence and commitment, give preference to the Southern Region of Southern Cameroons Ambazonia.
Five applications were received. Of the five, 03 came from the Northern Region, 02 from the Southern Region and none was a female. After close scrutiny, eliminations were done. At the end of the day, the candidate selected was not based on Region of origin but on his competence and and commitment to the struggle.
We hereby present Comrade Larry Eyongechaw of Manyu County as the candidate elect for the office of Spokesperson of the Southern Cameroons Ambazonia Consortium United Front.
Comrade Larry Eyongechaw takes office immediately and is installed in Washington DC on Saturday, June 3rd by Comrades Elvis Kometa, Milan Atam and Carlson Anyangwe on the floor of the Washington Summit.
