The controversial Joseph Owona who as head of FIFA's normalisation committee in charge of the Cameroon Football Federation, reportedly spent 11 billion FCFA within a two year period was allowed to go scot free by those who summoned him at the Special Criminal Court (TCS) on Thursday, December 10, 2015. The former Cameroon government minister and a Biya acolyte has embezzlement allegations hanging on him. Cameroon Concord has gathered from very reliable sources that Owona's end is near. The most arrogant Cameroon government official ever, Joseph Owona was seen painting a very humble picture of himself when he arived the premises of the special criminal court accompanied by his bodyguard on Thursday, December 10th.
He was punctual for the appointment and left the court house around 11:30 am, displaying a smiling and relaxed attitude. Cameroon Concord Intelligence Unit is yet to get the exchanges between Mr. Owona and investigators of the Special Criminal Court. But what we do know is that for nearly two hours, Joseph Owona was heard as a witness, not on his handling of the Cameroon Football Federation between July 2013 and September 2015, but on the management of public funds made available by the State for the participation of Cameroon's Indomitable Lions in the final phase of the World Cup Brazil 2014 and the final phase of CAN 2015 in Equatorial Guinea.

The Mauritanian Super Cup final ended in unusual fashion at the weekend, after the country's president got bored of the action, and ordered a penalty shoot-out in the 63rd minute.
President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz was said to have become increasingly frustrated with the pace of the game and, with FC Tevragh-Zeina and ACS Ksar locked at 1-1, called for an early result, according to a report in Italy's Gazetto World.
The unusual change in proceedings left thousands awaiting explanation, despite the league denying claims of the president's involvement.
A statement issued by the federation present, Ahmed Ould Abderrahmane denied the allegations: "The decision was made due to organisational issues in accordance with the presidents and the coaches of the two teams", it read.
