A group of Cameroonian ladies based in Maryland, USA, has released to the public, a revenge porn tape featuring another female Cameroonian. It is not clear if the survivor of sexual assault cheated with the boyfriend of one of the girls, according to an audio message by the survivor who denies every assertion.

The female survivor cites Mokone Sone, and a certain Anita, as the main hackers who leaked her sex tape to Facebook. Mokone Sone and Anita, according to the survivor, both live in Maryland, USA. It may appear that they were close friends.

In the video, the man could be seen video taping the lady while having sex.

Few hours ago, Mekone Sone purportedly deactivated her Facebook page. It could also be possible that Facebook administrators pulled down the video, and banned Mekone Sone for violating the terms of content usage on the public sphere.

A fire incident  has destroyed many shops in the main  Market of Bafoussam, Capital of the Western region of Cameroon.

After the recent fire incident at the  Kousseri market in the Department of Logone-et-Chari (Far North) where over 400 shops went up in smoke, another fire incident is making headlines in Cameroon.The incident in  Bafoussam market happened  on Monday, leaving many traders in disarray with lots of goods destroyed.

No life was lost or injuries as a result of the fire, however the material balance would amount to hundreds of millions of CFA francs.

The authorities in the region, announced the opening of an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

Mr. Johannes Mbong Ngole, former deputy Registrar of the GCE Board reading the press statement during the launching in Bamenda today of the Cameroon Education Forum (CDF). It was heavily attended meeting that saw in attendance Mr. Asong Wara Andrew, Hon. The key resolution was geared towards the creation of an Education council for the Anglophone sub system as well as another for the Francophone subsystem.

A man missing individual has been discovered buried apparently alive in a shallow grave in Bafut village-Bamenda.

Sources close to the victim say he had been missing for a while, the wife became concerned as he had no previous attitude of being absent from home for so long.As the wife's concerns grew, she contacted the missing husband's brother who immediately alerted the police and the Mobile Communications Network to which his brother's cell number was registered(MTN-Cameroon).

Information gathered from MTN-Cameroon led investigators to a certain individual who had allegedly purchased the victims telephone.Upon pressure mounting through the police interrogation, the suspect changed his version of the story and said he bought the phone from someone who said the owner had been killed and buried.He went further to give more details on the location of the burial site.However he tried to distance himself from the crime.

Police and local administrative authorities including the Divisional officer for the area quickly mobilized youths and went to the said area.A shallow grave was found,members of the group quickly unearthed through the soil and after a few inches of digging they found the body of the victim in a state of decomposition, with  his hands and legs tied, mouth filled with ground and sealed with tape and a knife on his body . Reports claim more suspects were apprehended and investigations are still ongoing.

Enforcing sanitation in Douala is an arduous task that only daring council officials can bear. Even when surroundings are kept clean, illegal structures are erected by street corners or structures once demolished resurface a week or two after. This is the situation that the Mayor of Douala II Council, Denise Fampou, staff and a police officer went down to Ngangue, Bonapriso and New Bell to verify on May 25, 2016.

The visit came after weeks of sensitisation culminated in the demolition of illegal structures such as extensions bordering or narrowing streets, old and dilapidated residential structures and kiosks set up against norms. Those that were untidy were asked to be tidied up and painted within 48 hours, while plantain suckers, pear and other trees were cut down.

The measure follows the completion of the King Njoya Street (Rue Roi Njoya), thereby facilitating the facelift of the Nkololoun and New Bell neighbourhoods. According to Mayor Fampou, such makeshift structures make movements for pedestrians difficult as well as give a poor image of the beautiful neighbourhoods. At the end of the exercise, the Mayor said when sensitisation is not heeded, demolition is the last resort. And so it was on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, a day generally set aside for sanitation in the Douala II Municipality.

The 20th May civilian march past in Yaounde followed immediately after the military segment with 33,357 persons taking part in the exercise.

Those marching included pupils from primary schools, students from secondary schools and higher institutions of learning and political parties represented in the National Assembly and Senate.

This phase of the march past opened with the presentation of a symbolic mascot by students of the National Institute of Youths and Sports (INJS).

The mascot, major innovation this year, consisted of a Cameroon map in a sphere-like space, representative of Cameroon’s move towards emergence.

Two primary and secondary schools from each of the seven sub divisions of the Mfoundi represented the Division in this year’s civilian march past.

The pupils and students carried patriotic messages and banners, waved little flags and sang six patriotic songs on fighting terrorism and indiscipline, promoting emergence, second generation agriculture and the digital economy.

The patriotic songs were in English, French and older local languages in line with Government’s efforts to promote the mother-tongue in schools.

After primary and secondary schools came higher institutions of learning with bold marching steps, intriguing choreographic displays by cheerleaders and impeccable rhythms by brass bands.

The Protestant University of Central Africa (UPAC) marched alongside the higher institutions of learning in its maiden appearance at the May 20 Boulevard exercise.

Nine political parties took part in the march past, brandishing unity-inclined messages while chanting patriotic songs.

The parties represented included: the National Salvation Front (MNSC/FSNC), National Union for Democracy and Progress (NUDP/UNDP), Movement for the Defense of the Republic (MDR), Cameroon Democratic Union (CDU),  Union of the Peoples of Cameroon (UPC), National Alliance for Democracy and Progress (ANDP), Cameroon Renaissance Movement (MRC), Social Democratic Front (SDF) and the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM/RDPC).

Each political party was uniformly dressed and organised and their marching crowned the 20th May 2016 march past which lasted about three hours.
