Anglophone crisis: Fear grips Eyumojock following killing of police officers
The people of Eyumojock in Manyu division of the South West region are reportedly living in fear following the killing of some police officers on November 29.
The people suspect a brutal retaliation from the forces of order, reports say.
At least four corpses of police officers were found on Thursday, after a surprise attack from unidentified armed men.
Arms were also lost to the assailants, it's reported.
"Eyumojock is panic-stricken. Everyone is running into the forest to avoid the heavy hand of the police announced following the discovery of [the corpses ] of those police officers," a local is quoted as saying on phone by journalducameroun.com.
Reports of the alleged deployment of armed forces in the area had plunged the people into serious panic on November 30.
