The Cameroon National team shall be playing today at 4:00pm, their second match of the Russian Confederations cup against Australia.

This Thursday, Moukandjo and his team will be battling shoulder to shoulder with Ange Postecoglou’s team at the Saint Petersburg stadium. Both teams are in a delicate position given that, a loss today will be equivalent to elimination for the both teams.

After analysing the situation of the two squads, it is discovered that, Australia is well placed to move forward even if today’s encounter ends up in a draw. This is because they lost to Germany just 3-2, while Cameroon had it hot from Chile who nailed two goals in their net (2-0).

“We need to preserve our chances of qualifying for the next round. If we don’t take the day, then its finished for us. We have what we have to do and that’s just what we will do. Australia is a team of height, very enthusiastic and pushful. Notwithstanding, we will have to deal with it”, Hugo Broos revealed.

The match to be played this Thursday 22 June 2017, will be the first of its kind between the two teams, as they have not met before. After today, Cameroon’s next encounter will be against the much dreaded Germany on the 25^th of June.

Cameroon have crumbled before Chile in the Confederations Cup in Russia.
The winners of Copa America put up a spirited fight whose reward were two goals.
The two goals were scored by Vidal and and Vargas.
Cameroon were the first to shake the net during the first half but a foul by Aboubakar Vincent annulled the goal.
Chile also lost a goal because one of their players was offside. A decision which has received diverse reactions from across the world.
The first half was almost controlled entire by the Chileans.
Cameroon took over during the second half but Chile stood their ground and scored the two goals to win the game.
The first goal only came with the entry of most dreaded Alexis Sanchez, who was rumoured to miss the game due to a sprained ankle.
However, some Cameroonians are even happy because the score was not as heavy as they had suspected, given that Chile are among the first four strongest teams in the world according to the latest FIFA world ranking. Cameroon are on the 32nd position.
Cameroon play their second match against Australia on Thursday.
So far only hosts Russia and Chile have won their games, 2-0 each.
Portugal drew 2-2 with Mexico earlier on Saturday.

The Portuguese Primeira Liga side have secured the services of the 25-year-old Cameroonian midfielder in order to boosts their midfield compartment.

This information was made public on the club’s website after the player completed a successful medical to cement the move. However, the transfer fee has not been made public regarding the move.

Azongha Tembeng Abenego has signed a two-year contract with Primeira Liga side Club Desportivo de Tondela that will run from June 2017 to June 2019 after leaving Algerian champions ES Setif.

This new move will give the midfielder the opportunity to have a taste of European football for the first time since he started his professional career.

The former Les Astre of Douala midfielder, expressed his joy as he will be plying his trade in Europe during the 2017/2018 footballing season.

“It is a great move for me and my career. I am so happy. It will also be a great challenge for me which am ready to take,” Tambeng said.

Although a midfielder, the versatile player can play in the cetre-back and left-fullback positions. His combative style of play, tight marking of opponents and ability to break down opposition plays will help give his new club shape in the midfield.

Tembeng had spells in Aigle Royal of Menoua, Les Astres in Cameroon and in Algeria with MC El Eulma, DRB Tadjenanet, and ES Setif were he won the championship.

He was also part of Cameroon’s squad that won the bronze medal at the 2011 All-Africa Games.

LISBON (Reuters) - Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the club and Spain after being accused of committing tax fraud in the country, a report in Portuguese sports daily A Bola said on Friday.

The newspaper said its story was based on a reliable source and that the 32-year-old four-times world player of the year had already made up his mind to ask the club for a transfer.

It said that Ronaldo was "deeply disenchanted" with the allegations against him.

Spanish prosecutors have filed a lawsuit against the player accusing him of defrauding tax authorities of 14.7 million euros ($16.5 million) by hiding his image rights income between 2011 and 2014. Ronaldo has denied any wrongdoing.

Real Madrid said on Thursday that they were confident the Portuguese forward had acted legally. They could not immediately be reached on Friday to comment on the report.

Ronaldo led Real Madrid to their 12th European Cup earlier this month after scoring two goals in a 4-1 victory over Juventus in the Champions League final, becoming the tournament's top scorer.

Ronaldo, Portugal's all-time leading scorer, is the latest in a long line of soccer players in Spain -- among them Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Neymar -- to be caught up in cases over tax or transfers.

Ronaldo has completed eight seasons at Real Madrid since joining them from Manchester United in 2009 for a then world record fee of 96 million euros

During that time, they have won the Champions League three times and La Liga twice. In November, he agreed to extend his contract until 2021.
