As Schools remain grounded in the North West and South West regions, Moslems have created home schools to intensify the teaching of Koranic values to children. These schools we gathered are scattered across towns in Anglopone Cameroon as Moslem leaders hope to guard children at a time when the shutdown of schools has led to untold youth deliquency.
Parents have been urged to use koranic scriptures to teach their children the importance of upholding moral values so as to maintain a healthy relationship with Allah.
Each Moslem is expected to pay a token to enroll their kids for the classes . The centres also offer various handicrafts to keep the children busy with manual work. Girls in particular are being drilled on purity before marraige and the need to shun prostitution which is rife at this period.

The officers on their part dismiissed his story insisting on an authorisation. He reveals that his arrest is related to the detention of Ayah Paul , President of the party who is being held since January.
The PAP official has made it clear that the party is different from Ayah Paul, so authorities should not infringe on civil liberties and freedom of association. He wonders why the rally was sqwashed when the party has on previous occasions held meetings with a declaration to the D.O.
Readers of the situiation believe that the government is determined to do everything to neutralise any activity or people related to the retired Justice Ayah Paul. Recently mr Ayah's son, Ayah Ayah was also arrested detained and released 24 hours later. Cameroon will become an emergent nation by 2035. That is the utopian nation of Paul Biya, who will be over a hundred years old by then, if...
Cameroon will certainly attain emergence but not thanks to words like Biya's.
Concrete actions are the only vehicle to transport such transformation.
Until we understand who we are and what we have, we will continue to make noise while others fly quietly.
By no means will Cameroon shake from this position if the gap between the taxpayers and "taxconsumers" widens every day.
You can't expect a country to make money from taxpayers when white collar-job persons ride in air-conditioned cars..., with drivers; live in luxurious houses, eat extravagant meals... when the taxpayers are jumping from left to right under the control of hunger.
No country will develop when the public sector is in a constant, disastrous competition with the private sector.
"[...]Most of the richest businessmen in Cameroon are civil servants," Honorable Joshua Osih observed on Cameroon Calling,CRTV, on Sunday.
To back up this assertion, we can turn back to the story of the civil servant whose multimillion castle raised eyebrows in the country and beyond about two months ago.
When the public had got too interested in and critical about the story, some voices came up to justify the sources of the wealth.
They claimed that besides being a 'hard-working' civil servant, Mr Felix Samba is a farmer.
There is certainly nothing wrong in being hardworking and having a farm.
But we need to adapt to our situation.
If Cameroon is not very 'rich', let our ministers ride the vehicles that suit their country.
Let our administrators dress, eat and live like the leaders of a country struggling to grow.

Biya’s armed troops dispatched to the Cameroon College of Arts and Science(CCAS) Kumba molested a Cameraman of Spectrum Television, STV, Marcel Itoe Likoli for filming scenes of the kick off of the 2017 session of the General Certificate of Education, GCE examinations.
The Post gathered that Itoe was only let off the hook after he was forced to delete all the images he had filmed from his camera.
It is reported that Itoe surfaced on campus that morning and went about filming before the security agents of the school and some gendarmes dispatched for security purposes pounced on him.
He is said to have explained that since the GCE is a public exam, it is good for the media to report on the situation in Kumba.
His explanations fell short of convincing anyone as those who had gotten hold of him demanded an authorisation.
To save himself from further embarrassment, Itoe is said to have rushed to the office of the Principal of CCAS Kumba, Julius Fonge to get permission.
Unknown to Itoe, the reaction from the school administration further complicated his situation.
The Principal is reportedly turned down Itoe's request on grounds that instructions from hierarchy forbids any media from covering this year’s GCE except authorised.
Fonge is reported to have further rebuked the STV reporter, stating that when things are good no one comes to cover them for the world to know, but when the going is tough that’s when TV cameras surface.
An STV journalist who refused to be named told The Post on condition of anonymity that the Principal queried Itoe stating that after filming, a different story will be narrated in the media.
Faced with multiple pressures, the STV worker is said to have rushed to the Meme Divisional Delegate of Secondary Education, Akwo Eyoh, but his request was rejected.
Itoe is reported to have met the Delegate alongside the Meme SDO about to embark on field tours for the same purpose, but the Delegate declined giving him permission, noting that only his hierarchy can decide.
Exams Begin Under Tight Security
Given the prevailing socio-political tension in the Northwest and Southwest Regions, the GCE exams opened under tight security.
Troops patrolled major school neighbourhoods in Kumba, while police officers are stationed at major examination centres.
The Senior Divisional Officer, SDO for Meme, Chamberlin Ntou' ou Ndong in the company of Divisional Officers and other security officers made rounds to the different examination centres.
Reports from across the Division speak of a hitch free examination kick off.
It will be recalled that the written phase of the examination rumbled off amid calls for civil disobedience from certain quarters.
